If you have a few hours to spare and you do not fear heights, why not test your mettle by doing the Mont Blanc traverse by cableway. Setting off from Courmayeur (loc. La Palud) in only 6 stops you will arrive at Chamonix, on the French side of the highest mountain in Europe. A truly breathtaking experience.
If, on the other hand, you prefer to test your physical stamina at altitude, you can pass the night at 3,317 metres. The Rifugio Teodulo will give you a night to remember under the stars.
